Gruppo Cordenons Inc. announced its 2nd Annual Design Contest “Something Italian” because great designs need to be rewarded.
The contest will recognize great designs produced on the Impressive line of Gruppo Cordenons papers, and is open to all design professionals. One entry will be awarded the Grand Prize, and the top three entries in each category will receive special recognition.
The Grand Prize winner will receive Business Class Airfare and five days and four nights of accommodations for two at their choice of the Portofino Bay Hotel in Universal City, Florida or the Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada.
There are six categories for the contest: Brochures, Digital, Greeting Cards, Coordinated Identities, Invitations and Packaging.
The winning entries will demonstrate outstanding use of Gruppo Cordenons Impressive Papers in any printed format. The deadline for entries is April 30, 2008.
As the Grand Prize winner in Gruppo Cordenons’ “Visit Italy” Design Contest last year, Daphne Chin of DRGM Advertising in Reno, Nevada was presented a trip to Italy. The designers that received recognition for their designs of excellence were:

Packaging: Doug Chyhai, Twentyfour22 Design and Josh Berger, Plazm
Gruppo Cordenons offers North America a complete palette of Impressive Papers. Astrosilver, Bakri, Canaletto, Dali Doré, Malmero Perlé, Plike and Stardream are moving to the forefront with the creative community and printers.
