Sappi Fine Paper changed the design and format of their swatchbooks after conducting market research to gain a better understanding of what customers value in the books.

Custom illustrations by Nick Dewar, like those for Lustro Offset Environmental (LOE), bring each brand to life. LOE’s message that you don’t have to sacrifice quality for environmental responsibility takes shape with plants and flowers growing out of file cabinets and a business suit.

Designed by VSA Partners in Chicago, the swatchbooks include some other new features like:

• Spiral binding so the books lay flat, but put the brand name and value proposition on the book’s spine to make it easy to spot on the shelf
• Swatch waterfall to demonstrate the full offering of weights and finishes in one glance
• Specifications on divider pages
• On-product labeling guide (sustainability logos) for each brand
