More NewPage Integration Decisions

As a result of its acquisition of Stora Enso North America (SENA), NewPage has made some decisions regarding integrating its Premium, No. 2 and No. 3 paper lines.

Centura, their fully supported premium coated product offering, is manufactured with 10 percent postconsumer recycled fiber; and features triple chain-of-custody certification (Forest Stewardship Council (FSC), Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI) and Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC)).

Signature True sheetfed and web offerings will be eliminated from the NewPage product portfolio. Sterling Ultra (FSC certified) and Productolith (FSC, SFI and PEFC certified) in the No. 2 sheetfed and web grade offerings will continue to be offered.

The company will support three brands within the No. 3 product offering:

Gusto, Fortune and Anthem – Anthem product specifications will change in brightness from an 87 to an 88 with a cleaner, blue-white styling.
